About the shop

AtarGhor is a small perfume shop in Dhaka. We stock Arabic houses, designer bottles and a little niche, which is not unusual. How we sell them is.

In most shops you buy the whole bottle or nothing. Spend four or five thousand taka, get it home, discover it smells wrong on your skin, and that money is simply gone. So we measure perfume out of the bottle into smaller glass atomisers — 2, 5, 10 or 20ml. It is the same liquid from the same bottle, because that is literally where it came from.

Every bottle behind the counter is tracked individually: which bottle a pour came from, how much went out, how much is left. That is why each product page can tell you exactly how many millilitres are in stock right now, and why a size we cannot pour today is not offered for sale today.

What we will not do

We do not sell fakes. A clone and a fake are different things: a clone is a legally made perfume inspired by a famous one and sold under its own name, while a fake borrows someone else’s brand and box to pretend it is the original. Where a bottle here is a clone, its page says so and names what inspired it.

We also do not bury the pricing. A decant costs more per millilitre than the bottle does, because the vial, the atomiser and the label cost the same whether you buy 2ml or 20. The per-ml figure sits next to every size so you can work out for yourself which option is actually worth it.
